Privacy policy
Your board stays on your phone. This policy covers the Penrith 2 Checkerboard Studio app for Android; the website note below covers this site.
This website
The website has no account, no cookies, no analytics and no external scripts or fonts. The studio keeps your request in this browser (local storage) until you delete it, and opens your own email app with the request written in. Nothing is sent until you press send there.

01
Who we are
This policy is published by PENRITH FRESH SUSHI PTY LTD (ABN 68 700 784 158), which trades as Sushi Hub Penrith 2 at Kiosk K25, Westfield Penrith, 569 High Street, Penrith NSW 2750, Australia. Registered address: Unit 1, 130 Delhi Street, Lidcombe NSW 2141. Contact: contact@sushihub.com.au, (02) 4721 4354.
It covers the Penrith 2 Checkerboard Studio app for Android and explains what happens to the information you enter in it.

02
What this policy covers
The policy covers the app on your phone: the menu, prices, kilojoules and allergen marks, the boards you design, saved boards and the ways the app hands a request to you to send.
When you email or call the store, what you send is handled as described in the section on how the store uses a request.

04
The boards you design
A board holds the twelve rolls you choose, in the squares where you put them, and an optional title. A request can hold up to three boards.
The app keeps the request you are working on, and the requests you save, on your phone.

05
Headcount and kilojoules
You can enter how many people will share the food. The app uses it only to divide the kilojoules and to compare the food with the number of people. It does not ask about anyone’s health, diet or allergies.

06
Platters, drinks and sauces
Ready platters, drinks, miso soup and sauces you add are stored with the request, with their quantities and prices.

07
Pickup day and time
The pickup day and 30-minute window you choose are stored with the request. They are a preference until the store confirms them.

08
Your name and phone
To let the store know whose request it is, a request can include your name and a phone number. You type them yourself and both are optional.

09
Where your data is stored
Everything you enter is stored in the app’s private storage on your phone, in a database other apps cannot read.
Android backup is turned off for the app, so this data is not copied to a cloud backup.

10
No account, no cloud copy
The app has no account, no sign-in and no server of its own. Nothing is synchronised and no copy exists outside your phone unless you send it.

11
What the app does not collect
The app does not collect location, contacts, photos, files, device identifiers, advertising identifiers or usage statistics, and it contains no analytics or advertising code.

12
No internet access
The app does not request the Android internet permission. It cannot send anything by itself.

13
Sending a request by email
When you tap Send by email, the app opens your own email app with the request written in it and addressed to the store. Nothing is sent until you press send there, and from then on the email is handled by your email provider.

14
Calling the store
When you tap Call, the app opens your phone app with the store’s number filled in. The call is made only if you start it, and the request stays on screen so you can read it out.

16
How the store uses a request
A request you send reaches the store through the channel you used. The store uses it to prepare your order and to reply.
Ask the store directly how long it keeps messages.

17
Your choices and rights
You can edit, duplicate or delete saved requests at any time, and uninstalling the app deletes all of its data from your phone. Deleting a request does not cancel anything you already sent.
You can ask PENRITH FRESH SUSHI PTY LTD what personal information it holds from requests you sent, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted, by writing to contact@sushihub.com.au. Where the Australian Privacy Principles apply, you can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

18
Changes and contact
If the app changes how it handles data, this policy is updated in a new version of the app and on the website, with a new effective date.
Effective 2026-10-08. Questions: contact@sushihub.com.au, (02) 4721 4354.
